Sharing is caring!

Benefits of failure – most people never think of this term. We all already know what failure is and how painful it is! According to science, estimated 80% more people fear failures than they fear their death. I think it’s reasonable. Because, you can never understand the pain of death until you get there. However, a little failure can make us have the most painful feeling in the world. When we fail at something despite investing loads of efforts, we feel disappointed, sad, lost, hopeless and misunderstood. Even it becomes worse when the same failure used to be repeated over and over again.

Most of us used to be taught from our early childhood that, “failure is the pillar of success”. But, when we fail at something, then the single motivation never becomes able to keep us a single motivated at all. The fact is, when we grow up, we understand that those people who taught us that motivation, are the ones who used to practice a strange mentality where they believe that failure should never be an option. There should be no failure. Only a few people used to talk about the benefits of failure but those people are super hard to find nowadays.

But here we are. If you’re having constant failures in your life and if you want to get a little motivation, you’re in the right place. In today’s article, you’re going to discover 10 most surprising benefits of failures that no one usually talks about.

10 Surprising Benefits of Failure

1. Failure helps you to recognize the people around you

The biggest benefits of failure is, it helps to understand the real and spot the fake. You can never assure what type of attitude you’re going to get from the people around you when you will fail. Before taking any risk or starting a work, we all used to fear what if we will fail. At that moment, you may find many people inspiring you and telling you that they will be there for you on your bad days.

But, trust me most of them will just leave. Because, when people inspire you to do something, then they also used to have an expectation that you will succeed. But, when their expectations break, then even your most close friends may start ignoring you and even most of them will doubt your efforts.

Thus how failures actually help you to recognize who is real and who isn’t . Yes, people can make mistakes and can misunderstand sometimes. But, leaving someone in their bad times is never fair.

You should also stay beside your friends or others when they have bad times. After all the failures, if you’re still getting tons of people supporting you, then you’re just lucky that most people are not.

2. Failure helps you to understand how strong you are

As we already know, failures are so depressing. Failures can leave us misunderstood and broken. The fact is, most of us presume that we are mentally strong enough or some of us think that we are weak.

But, when you have finally got failures in your life, then you must be put in all these situations and to survive the situation, you have to fight with various things including your mental pain and hopelessness.

If you can survive all these without giving up, then always know that you’re mentally stronger than you even think. Moreover, giving a next try after a failure takes tons of courage. Overall you get understand your real strength and you don’t feel lost anymore.

3. Failures can be a second chance

When we have an extreme failure in our life, for the most part we think that our life is wasted, completely wasted. However, failures can always be a second chance.

Analyzing all of your failures can create a better opportunity that you couldn’t be thinking of. Who knows if that wasn’t actually your destination or the perfect thing for you? Maybe you’re trying for several jobs but failing, it also means that maybe you deserve to be your own boss rather than doing the job for anyone else.

Everything is possible. So, always see good in everything. Try to find an opportunity in every failure and you will surely succeed!

4. Failure makes you sophisticated

If you haven’t gotten a single failure in your life yet, then don’t mind but maybe yet you’re not sophisticated enough. The reason behind saying this is many people presume that failure is good until finally they have it in their life.

Most of them think that there should be nothing called failure in one’s life. And undoubtedly these presumptions are never true or practical.

When you have failures and then success, then failure and then success, then you understand that on earth none of the good times or bad times is permanent. You get accustomed to the harsh reality and anything like this doesn’t hurt you in future.

5. Failure helps you to understand others

One of the others benefits of failure is, it makes your compassionate and kind. If you are having any current failure in your life right now, that is making you sad, then I would like to tell you that you’re not alone. Even though no one ever talks about their failures or bad times, it’s almost obvious that many people around you right now are having the same situation.

They are also in pain. When you had that experience of failures in the past, then you can easily understand and can feel compassion about the person who is in the same pain.

Nowadays, it has been too complicated to find someone who will inspire in the bad times. So, if you know someone who is in the pain of failures, then go there and inspire them. Maybe they won’t reveal, but you will earn tons of respect from that person gradually.

6. Every failure teaches you a lesson

Another major benefits of failure is that it’s a good teacher. Failure won’t come in your life unconditionally. It happens either for your mistake or either for another reason. Whatever it is, a failure always comes with a lesson.

Most of us used to ignore that lesson and we only focus on crying for failure. However, if we can accept the lesson, then obviously we will be able to do something good.

7. Failure makes you more experienced

It is told that an experienced person is always better than a skilled one and it’s actually true. Because when you gain experience, you also gain the power to become a better adviser and a good guide. You can bring any project or anything to the next level if you have experience with it as you already know which is going to be the right and which is not going to work that much.

Just like this, failure gives you a different types of experience. When you’ve tried a new strategy but failed, you know it’s not going to work and you stay aware of it. Even, when you will get success, you will be able to advise other people on how to be there and what are the things they’re going to experience through the way. At the same time, you will be able to be an inspiration which is also one of the major benefits of failure.

8. Failure keeps you hungry and passionate for success

Another less known benefits of failure is that it can work as an inspirations sometimes. There can be simply two types of people. The first one type of people are those who give up after getting 1-2 failures and don’t think about their goals anymore. The other type of people are those who are unbreakable.

Nothing can break them and eve not an extreme failure. They used to be impacted positively by failures. Because it makes them more hungry and ambitious. Now, it’s only up to you to consider what type of person you want to be. If you think you want to be the second type of person, then wish you good luck!

9. Failure makes you undefeatable

One of the biggest benefits of failure is it can make someone undefeatable. You can become undefeatable only when you have nothing to lose and nothing to be afraid of. Failure is like an invisible monster that people of every age used to be afraid of. From the youngest to the oldest, for everyone it’s the same.

We have also known at the early beginning that, “80% people in the world used to fear failures more than death”. So, overall if you can fight with the invisible monster and if you can survive at that moment, then you have already been undefeatable!

10. Failure helps you to understand your faults

Trust or not, sometimes you can create failure by yourself. You see success requires ample of things including consistency, courage, overcoming the fears, staying passionate and many more. Unless you become a very perfect person, it can be really demanding for you to have all these good things and balance them at the same time.

You can only find the so-called perfect people in movies, but believe me, they never exist in real life. So, when you’re having any failure in your life, think firstly that if you’re somehow responsible for this. If you can find your faults, hopefully you will never make them in the future again.

Final thoughts: By reading all the points, I guess, at least for once you have felt that failure is actually not a curse. It's a luck, a strange luck that we all get in different stages of our life but most of us misunderstand this.

It seems painful at first but mostly brings good results at the end. If you won't get a failure, you will never get to feel the real meaning of success. I hope that after reading this article, from the next time you won't consider failures a curse anymore. Instead you will consider them to be a blessing and will be inspired to move forward and work for a better future.
